This policy covers the public website at coachlog.app and www.coachlog.app. It explains how we process website data under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
Account and coaching data are covered by the panel privacy policy and app privacy policy.
2.What we collect and why
When you open a page, our hosting and delivery provider, Vercel, processes technical request information such as your IP address, browser details, requested URL, and request time to deliver and secure the website. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website.
If you email us, we process your email address and the information you choose to provide to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries, steps you request before entering a contract, or compliance with a legal obligation, depending on the enquiry.
If you allow usage analytics, we use PostHog’s EU service to count visits to product pages, interactions with the example demo, and links to signup and the app stores. Our legal basis for this optional processing is your consent. Analytics stay off until you choose “Allow analytics”. Refusing does not affect the website.
Analytics events contain the public page path and fixed labels such as the button’s destination, its section on the page, or a demo step number. Query strings, URL fragments, form contents, names, email addresses and coaching recordings are excluded. An identifier held in memory groups events during the current page visit; we do not link it to an app or panel account. We disable IP-based enrichment, automatic interaction capture and session recording.
This website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising cookies. We do not sell website visitor data, create advertising profiles, or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.
3.Cookies and browser storage
The website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Choosing whether to allow analytics saves a preference locally in your browser. PostHog is loaded only after consent and its identifier uses memory rather than cookies or persistent browser storage.

This preference is used only to remember your choice. Continuing to browse or dismissing an older privacy notice does not grant analytics consent. Old entries named coachlog_privacy_notice and coachlog_cookie_consent are no longer used and can be cleared through browser settings.
Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to withdraw consent. New analytics events stop when you turn analytics off. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. Blocking browser storage keeps analytics off and does not prevent you from using the website.
4.Other websites and services
Links to panel.coachlog.app open our account service, where you can log in or register. The public landing page does not receive your password. The panel has separate privacy information about authentication, service operation, and payments.
Apple App Store, Google Play, our blog, and social platforms have their own privacy information. Following a link lets its destination process your request under its own policies. Store badges and fonts on this website are served with the website; merely viewing them does not open the store or Google Fonts.
5.Recipients and international transfers
PostHog processes the optional analytics events described above using its EU ingestion service. Like our hosting provider, it receives the technical connection information needed to handle a request. Our event configuration excludes identifying content and disables IP-based enrichment. See PostHog’s data collection documentation for information about its controls.
Our hosting, infrastructure and email service providers may process the data needed to deliver their services on our behalf. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where a provider processes personal data outside the UK or EEA, applicable data protection law requires an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. You can contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. Vercel publishes details of its processing and subprocessors in its Data Processing Addendum.
6.How long we keep data
The analytics preference is valid for 180 days. The analytics identifier in page memory is lost on a full reload or when the page closes. Collected events follow our PostHog project’s retention settings; withdrawing consent stops new events but does not automatically erase events already received. Technical request data is retained only as necessary for website delivery, security and incident investigation under the hosting service’s retention settings. Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the matter and meet applicable legal obligations or resolve disputes.

7.Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Contact support@coachlog.app to exercise your rights. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain why.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or your local data protection authority in the EEA. You do not have to contact us first.
8.Updates to this policy
We will update this page when the website’s data practices change. If we introduce storage or tracking that requires consent, it will remain disabled until you make an affirmative choice, with equally accessible options to accept or refuse and a way to withdraw consent.
